![]() #Elder scrolls oblivion pc mods make it look better modSo I've been looking at remastering oblivion, and I've got to a point where I'm pretty satisfied, but the lighting still looks very much like the original game, and all the mod lists / forums / tutorials that supposedly fix that point to only two mods: All Natural, and Oblivion Reloaded. Now if only I could solve this framerate problem (I've posted about that elsewhere). Following a mod guide this time seems to have helped. I can see from my save records I tried once a couple of years ago to play again, I believe I ran up against a freeze problem I couldn't resolve. This is my second time playthrough, my first was seven years ago shortly after I was done with Skyrim the first time. I know this is the Oblivion board, you all must prefer Oblivion here. ![]() ![]() Its like getting a giant expansion pack for my favorite game. Which is what I needed as someone familiar with Skyrim. Thanks! submitted by /u/zeppars42 īetween swapping the "Activate" and "Jump" keys to match what they are in Skyrim, installing NorthernUI and a few graphical upgrades, it practically feels like I'm playing Oblivion in the Skyrim engine. Skyrim's Thieves Guild left a bad impression I guess, so I'm cautious.Īlso, any general rp advice is welcome too At first, it sounds like a perfect fit for a shady privateer, but I've not done it before and don't know if it will work for a "good-natured" character. What I am unsure of is the Thieves Guild. I've done it before so I know what to expect, and I think the FG is pretty basic and works for most characters. Would Light Armor be needed if I'm going to be wearing mostly civilian clothing? Would an Argonian privateer be more magically inclined than most? Would Destruction or Marksman fit an adventuring sailor for ranged combat?Īny recommended civ clothing or armor for the pirate look? What about weapons?Īs far as guilds, I figured the Fighters Guild would work pretty well for the privateer. The only major skills I have in mind so far are Blade, Acrobatics, and Security. Take a look below and tell me what you think. I have a general idea of what I want (as well as a work-progress backstory), but this is my first time making a pirate-type build so I was wondering if y'all had some advice. I felt that a privateer fit this better than a pirate. I prefer neutral characters (good natured, but a shady past and questionable side activities). I typically don't enjoy builds that are strictly criminals or bandits. I've wanted to start a pirate/privateer build for a while now and I feel like Oblivion is the best game to do so with all the seaside cities, waterfronts, and docks. ![]()
